Pune Municipal Corporation begins testing tanker water quality

Conducts exercise for the first time!

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Thursday began checking random samples of drinking water from 130 tanker trips that daily supplies more than ten lakh litres to various parts of the city.

The 60-year-old corporation undertakes the exercise for the first time.

Thanks to Vihar Dhurve!

The step was, however, initiated only after Right to Information (RTI) activist Vihar Dhurve pursued the case for nearly an year.
